Founders’ Associate

• Build: be the founders’ partner in building Spheres, from new strategies and our tech solution to projects that do not have a name yet.
• Grow: work with our LPs while expanding our investor base among Europe’s leading families and founders.
• Invest: source, assess and close venture and private equity investments across Europe and the US.

The breadth is deliberate. It is how you find out where you are disproportionately good and useful. If it works, within one to two years you own or run a meaningful part of Spheres.

Someone who has already done something objectively exceptional, has a competitive streak that stretches the boundaries of reasonable, takes on things nobody asked them to, forms strong views independently, and spends more time on technology or investing than any job could require. Logos on a CV can be a signal, but curiosity, raw intellect, hard work and resourcefulness matter more.

Spheres is a European investment office. We are backed by more than 100 LPs, including entrepreneurs, family business owners, tech founders and investment firm partners.

We invest across venture and private equity in Europe and the US, in every form: directs, funds, primaries, secondaries and more creative structures. Today that includes a Venture and Growth fund, a Private Equity fund and a range of co-investment vehicles. Alongside investing, we build technology that helps families understand and manage what they own.

We are a small team, which is why this role touches almost everything.

Our founding partners have deployed more than $4bn across 200+ VC and PE investments and built a multi-billion-dollar company: Florian Kamps (Ex-Sequoia Heritage), Jochen Engert (co-founder of Flixbus) and Jacques Salame (Ex-Goldman Sachs).

Competitive base salary. For exceptional candidates, upside participation is on the table.
